History of Stamford Pediatrics

Since 1971

Stamford Pediatric Associates was incorporated in 1971 by the founding partners, Drs. Rainville, Zimmern and Danoff. Its original location was a converted residential home at 1867 Summer Street in Stamford.

By 1995, the practice had outgrown its original “house”. Seeking updated facilities and more parking, we moved to our current location on Summer Street in 1995.

The next year we opened our second office in Darien in order to serve a wider geographic area. This office has become extremely popular with families who live in Stamford, Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Wilton and Greenwich.

We are proud to care for you and your family, and we look forward to you joining us during these very exciting times.

Tradition of Excellence

Over the years we have been privileged to work with outstanding physicians such as the original partners and Dr. Judith Nemec. As these physicians have retired or moved on, we have sought to continue our tradition of excellence. The legacy of our practice continues to attract extremely high caliber and dedicated physicians. We are very proud to be known for providing high quality care to our patients.

Continuting Medical Education

Stamford Pediatric Associates takes pride in keeping up with the latest medical information. All of our physicians attend a minimum of twenty-five hours of Continuing Medical Education yearly. We attend both local and national conferences on a wide variety of topics, enabling us to accrue the most up to date pediatric knowledge. This information is then applied to the way we take care of our patients.

EMR - Electronic Medical Records

The physicians at Stamford Pediatrics have also embraced the latest technological advances. In the fall of 2005, we became the first pediatric practice in Fairfield County to implement and utilize an electronic medical records system. Paper charts have been completely replaced by the wireless tablets carried by all of the doctors. The EMR system allows us to have twenty-four hour a day access to patient records. It also enables us to fax prescriptions to the pharmacy before our patients even leave our office. These conveniences have been very well received by the families we care for. The EMR system is frequently backed up, and is hacker safe and HIPPA compliant.

Our practice always continues to strive for high quality care for our patients.  To that end, we are extremely proud to be a level 3 Patient Centered Medical home since 2014.  This highly coveted designation is earned by a small number of practices nationwide.  Additionally, we highly value feedback from our patients.  We routinely survey our families and implement quality improvements based on their suggestions.  Some of our upcoming projects include text/email reminders for appointments and a patient portal.
