I was born and raised in New York City, attending a Greek-American Parochial School and Stuyvesant High School. I then went to Columbia College and received my B.A. in 1975. I graduated Cornell University Medical College in 1980 and did my pediatric Residency at The New York Hospital. I spent an extra year as Chief Resident in Pediatrics at The New York Hospital.
In 1986 I moved to Stamford with my wife, Lisa, and our 2 month old son, Michael. I joined Stamford Pediatrics in April of 1986. Lisa and I had 2 more children, Christopher born in 1987 and Nicole in 1990. All three of our children attended Roxbury Elementary School, Cloonan Middle School and Westhill High School. Michael graduated Sarced Heart University in May 2010 and is working as a Financial Advisor for Barnum Financial Group in Stamford. Christopher graduated from Quinnipiac Law School in December 2011 and is working for as a Commercial Litigator for Pastore & Dailey, a firm in Stamford. Nicole (according to her, the favorite child) graduated from George Washington University with a BA in Sociology/Communication in May 2012 and is working in event services in Stamford.
Growing up in NYC, I am a lifelong NY Mets, NY Jets and NY Rangers fan (still have NY Rangers season tickets). When the weather is warm you can find me on the golf course. My score hasn’t improved much over the years but I get to play with my sons now, so at least I get to see their games continue to improve.
